Day 2 in Philip and Clint's Suite -- Partners Edition
The food is cleared off of most surfaces in Clint and Philip's apartment, though the teenager is doing ... something ... that Clint's purposefully ignoring.
He's sitting on the couch, and reading a book. It's a book he's read many times, though this copy is on something called a PADD.
Louis L'Amour apparently just never goes away.

"All of it?"

Somehow library had limited him to thinking it was all of the knowledge in books.
He shifts slightly, so his left hip and leg are resting very gently against hers. He'd rather not make it that obvious that Natasha is -- well. Not feeling safe.
"How's that work?"
no subject
That wasn't a question Shotaro could answer. But maybe he could set some of their misgivings aside. "Like he said. It's only our version of Earth. Which is definitely different than the universe that we're in now." He glanced over at Philip as he continued. "Because this computer has never heard of Fuuto." How it could miss a city that size, he had no idea. But he didn't like it at all.

But still, she's never going to tell him her Russian name. Just in case.
(And maybe, later, ask for more details on how having that knowledge actually works.)
"Well you know what they say about great minds and thinking alike."
no subject
"I don't know Fuuto, either," he says. He knows most major cities, at least by name.
"Where's it located?"

Sorry, Clint and Natasha. You will quickly learn that Philip is sort of rude.
no subject
She's okay with rude. But she's going to arch her eyebrows at Clint questioningly anyway. He's spent more time with Philip than she has; should they retreat?
no subject
"Well, good luck with what you're looking for, then," he says.
His new roommate is Google incarnate. Except... more so.
Okay.
He moves off in the direction of his room, expecting Natasha will follow.

As he watched Natasha leave with him, he sighed wistfully. "Of course..."
no subject
"Shotaro," he said, tapping his partner's shoulder. "I'm perfectly content to return to my previous lookup. What was it you were interested in?"

Clint's room is neat - which is to be expected - but there's still the small marks of his presence. Mostly, it's just because she knows him well enough.
The bedsheets, though. The purple bedsheets.
Natasha gives him an amused (and very fond) look, and lightly flops over the bed. She doesn't even have to think about leaving enough room for him; it's automatic.
"Well," she says. "This is going to be interesting."
no subject
He snorts slightly, amused. "It already is."
